Bordering Swindon, and once part of Berkshire, Shrivenham is one the most picturesque Vale of White Horse villages.
Historically and still to this day, Shrivenham has held strong military connections and is home to several defence and research academies and colleges.
Although you may often see famous dignitaries passing through the village, it has remained a serenely peaceful and unspoilt haven for centuries. With many thatched and stone cottages lining the streets, Shrivenham is the perfect location to put down roots if you want a tranquil rural life.
There are many excellent places to dine and enjoy a drink, both in and around the village and larger towns are close to hand for some great shopping. There is also a fantastic community spirit and a warm welcome for all.
